Steve's gambling empire see this recent TNT item for  more on this story.  The "A.U." alias "Steve" mentioned  in the previous report seems to have been Ayavefe.

Yaşam Ayavefe, who was being sought with an Interpol 'red bulletin' for illegal internet gambling, was arrested in Greece on 28 February and will be returned to Turkey for prosecution.  Membership was a requirement for those using Ayavefe's gambling websites named 'Hodemturk', 'Adapoker', 'Applecom' and 'Apllege'.  However, Ayavefe ensured that users would lose, thanks to an algorithim (!).

Police raided a gang that defrauded state workers in Adana and 7 other provinces, and arrested 15 of 28 suspects taken into custody, while 2 other were put under house arrest.

Gang leader Ali Çelik, who was using an ID card in the name of Hüseyin I., an Ankara merchant who physically resembles Çelik and whose ID Çelik stole 5 years ago (!), and his girlfriend were among those arrested. Çelik was already being sought by police for a fraud conviction that mandated a 40-year prison sentence and for nearly 50 other related crimes.  Çelik even took advantage of Hüseyin I.'s medical benefits to have a heart operation in a hospital (!).

In the current case against the gang, it is accused of luring state employees, in particular, with the pitch "we're selling impounded cars at below-market value!".
